To their credit, City did not give up easily. Jeremy Doku scored a last-minute equalizer to complete his two goals, and Erling Haaland also found the net late. But it was not enough. 💥
“It’s painful now but there’s still a lot of games to go and anything can happen. We’ll keep fighting. We owe it to ourselves and our fans,” Doku said. 💪
City still have to face Brentford, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa. Arsenal, on the other hand, have a smoother path with games against West Ham and Burnley. 👀
Mathematically, City can still win it.
But now they need Arsenal to make a mistake and that is a position Guardiola never likes to be in.
