A Nigerian woman has gone viral after opening up about regretting her decision to leave her boyfriend years ago because people convinced her there were “better options” out there.
In a candid post shared online, she revealed that she ended the relationship in 2018 after constantly being advised to “move on” and avoid begging a man to stay.
However, years later, she says she still hasn’t found the “better man” she was promised.
According to her, instead of experiencing a healthier relationship, she has only dealt with heartbreak, disappointment, and emotional struggles.
Speaking humorously but honestly, she added that since leaving the relationship, she has neither found a “better option” nor even a “less option.”
In her words:
“I left my good boyfriend in 2018 because they said, ‘Move on, there are better options out there.’ Now, I’ve only increased my body count, no better man. Na so so shege banza. This one no be meme o. ‘Move on, move on, don’t beg him.’ Since 2018 till today, the better option I never see, even the less option I never see.”
