A man has stirred reactions online after expressing concern over his estate’s decision to replace male security guards with two female guards at the main gate.

The unidentified resident shared his thoughts in a humorous social media post, admitting that he no longer feels completely safe since the new security arrangement was introduced a few days ago.

According to him, he initially believed the female guards were only filling in temporarily until he discovered the change was permanent.

Reacting to the development, the resident explained that the estate had experienced occasional theft incidents even when male guards were on duty, adding that the new arrangement has left him uneasy.

In his words:

“My estate replaced the gate security from men to two women and I haven’t felt safe since. Nobody should use my life and play gender equality with me. As an upcoming Alpha male, I cannot sleep comfortably with women watching over me.”

He further revealed that although he rarely attends estate association meetings, he now intends to be present at the next meeting scheduled for Saturday so he can officially raise his concerns before fellow residents.

The post quickly went viral, attracting mixed reactions from social media users. While many found his comments hilarious and overly dramatic, others defended female security personnel, stressing that competence and professionalism matter more than gender.

Some commenters also noted that women have successfully served in the military, police force, and private security sector in Nigeria and across the world.

In recent years, many estates and organizations in Nigeria have increasingly embraced the employment of female security officers as part of broader efforts toward workplace inclusion and gender representation.
