According to the president, Pastor Adeboye gave him the name “Abraham” and explained its significance during the event.
Recounting the moment, Tinubu said:
“The day my wife was ordained a pastor in the Redeemed Church, I was there. Pastor Adeboye gave me Abraham. I asked him, ‘What is the meaning?’ He said, ‘Watch out, father of the nation.’”
The remarks were made during a meeting with members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and other Christian leaders in Kano State.
