Man Reveals Why He Married the Woman He Loved Least While Dating Three Women
A man has sparked widespread discussion on social media after sharing the surprising reason he chose to marry his wife instead of another woman he claimed to love deeply during their dating years.
The man, whose story has gone viral online, revealed that he was involved with three women at the same time before eventually settling down. According to him, the woman who later became his wife was actually his least favourite among the three.
His revelation has since generated mixed reactions, with many users debating the importance of support, loyalty, and compatibility when choosing a life partner.
A Test During a Difficult Time
While recounting his experience, the man explained that his perception of the women changed after he encountered a serious personal challenge and reached out to them for help.
According to him, the woman he loved the most reacted negatively when he asked her for financial assistance.
“When I was dating my wife, there were two other girls I was also dating at the same time. Among the three of them, my wife was the least. I didn’t really care about her that much. It was one of the other two girls that I loved so much.
One day, I had a very serious problem and asked this girl for ₦5,000. She got angry and told me it was a taboo for a woman to give a man money.”
He further revealed that the second woman didn’t even allow him to explain his situation before ending the call.
The Decision That Changed Everything
The man said he eventually contacted the woman who is now his wife, expecting little from her. To his surprise, she offered more help than he requested.
“The second girl didn’t even allow me to talk before she cut the phone. So I called this small one here, and she gave me ₦10,000. My mindset changed.”
According to him, that single act of support made him view her differently and ultimately influenced his decision to pursue a serious relationship with her.
Reactions Trail Viral Story
Reflecting on the experience, the man argued that many men look beyond physical attraction when considering marriage.
“If the only thing you can offer a man is your body, he may keep dating you for years and still not marry you.”
His comments have triggered debate online. While some social media users agreed that standing by a partner during difficult moments can strengthen a relationship, others argued that choosing a spouse should be based on a combination of factors rather than a single incident.
The story continues to attract reactions, with many sharing their own views on what truly influences long-term relationship decisions.
