A Nigerian lady has gone viral online after calling out a suitor who allegedly tried to “impress” her with ₦100,000—only to make it worse by sending the transaction receipt.
According to the lady, the man had asked for her account number, claiming he wanted to impress her. After she shared it, he transferred ₦100,000—but then sent her the payment receipt to prove it.
She didn’t hold back in her reaction, expressing disbelief and telling him off:
“So you said you wanted to impress me, I sent you my account number, then you sent me 100k, and then you had the mind to send me receipt. Why didn’t you add your family members’ number so I can call them to tell them what a very, very fine son they raised? You should be ashamed.”
The post quickly drew mixed reactions online. Some criticized her attitude, with one user commenting:
“Na wa oo, some women and entitlement. Very irritating attitude.”
Others sided with the man, saying:
“If I see person dash me 100k, I no go only thank am, I go worship am join.”
The video has since sparked lively debates about manners, gratitude, and dating expectations.
“You said you wanted to impress me, I sent my account number, you sent ₦100k… then sent the receipt too. What exactly is the receipt for?”
