Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has shared a thoughtful message about life, urging people not to discourage others from pursuing their dreams based on personal disappointments or past experiences.
According to him, failure in areas such as marriage, business, religion, or career should not become a general conclusion for everyone else, as each person’s journey is different.
“Don’t discourage anybody just because you had a bad experience. Just because it didn’t work for you doesn’t mean it won’t work for another person. Failure is personal, not universal,” he said.
Chiwetalu Agu also reflected on marriage and faith, stressing that one person’s negative experience should not become another person’s limitation or fear.
He encouraged people to remain hopeful after setbacks, noting that grace differs from person to person, and outcomes are not always the same.
“Never let someone else’s experience stop you from pursuing your goals. What destroyed one person may build another. Never use your pain to kill another person’s dream,” he added.
The actor further observed that many people unknowingly project their fears, disappointments, and past failures onto others instead of allowing them to learn and grow through their own experiences.
He called on Nigerians to be more intentional about encouraging and supporting one another, rather than spreading negativity based on personal setbacks.
