Popular Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Beverly Afaglo has reportedly passed away after a two-year battle with cancer, according to her manager, Abu Iddris.
Speaking in an interview on Sunday, May 24, Iddris disclosed that the actress died on Saturday night at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema.
According to him, Beverly had been courageously fighting cancer for the past two years.
“She has been battling cancer for two years. It’s been an endless war. She fought hard, and this is how it ended,” he said.
Iddris further revealed that the illness reportedly started as breast cancer before spreading due to hereditary complications.
Her husband, musician Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster or Praye Ho Ne Ho of the Praye music group, also confirmed the heartbreaking news on social media on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Beverly was said to have passed away at the age of 42.
Despite her declining health, her manager noted that the actress remained deeply committed to both her career and family, continuing to work while undergoing treatment.
“In fact, we shot content for her while she was in therapy. She was still undergoing treatment during premieres and promotional activities,” he revealed.
He added that Beverly lived courageously and remained strong until the illness eventually took a toll on her.
Iddris also disclosed that the actress had traveled to the United States for treatment and was advised to remain there because of the quality of medical care available. However, she reportedly chose to return to Ghana so she could spend more time with her children.
“Aware of her condition, she still chose to come back to be with her children. That was the kind of person she was. She wanted to spend her final days close to them, regardless of the cost,” he said.
Her passing has left fans, colleagues, and loved ones heartbroken, with many taking to social media to mourn the talented actress and celebrate her strength and dedication to her family.
As of the time of this report, the family is yet to announce funeral arrangements as they continue to grieve the painful loss.
