Nigerian singer and entrepreneur, Mr Eazi, has surprised many fans after revealing that he didn’t own a car during the early years of dating his partner, Temi Otedola.
Despite his growing fame and success at the time, the music star explained that his decision was intentional and rooted in his financial philosophy.
According to him, he saw cars as liabilities — assets that lose value over time — and chose to focus on investments instead of spending on luxury items.
“I didn’t even have a car while dating Temi… I got my first car in 2021,” he revealed, adding that his first purchase was a Range Rover.
The revelation has sparked conversations online, especially considering Temi’s background as the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.
Mr Eazi, however, made it clear that his approach to money has always been guided by discipline and long-term thinking rather than pressure to impress.
Interestingly, he also opened up about his dream car — the luxury Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which is valued at around $350,000.
But in a move that further surprised fans, he admitted that he still cannot afford it yet, despite his success in music and business.
His statement has been widely praised by some as a lesson in financial wisdom, while others found it hard to believe given his public status.
