Nollywood is still mourning. And Uche Jombo has shared a touching moment from her visit to Alex Ekubo’s wife.
In an emotional Instagram post, she revealed that the late actor’s wife spoke about him through tears and laughter. She left with a smile — not because the pain was gone, but because of the legacy he left behind.
“I thank God for your life, for your peace with him in the end. I’m sure you already know we got her. Love you and miss you, ikuku.” 💔
The actor passed away on May 11, 2026, at Evercare Hospital in Lagos. His family confirmed he died from complications of advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
Meanwhile, Stanley Ontop has also shared more details. He claimed Alex had been privately battling stage 4 liver cancer since 2024. He underwent a liver transplant and even returned to work briefly. But complications arose. The transplanted liver failed again. And that was the end.
Fans are heartbroken. One person wrote: “He fought so hard. Rest well, Alex.” Another said: “His wife is strong. Losing a husband is not easy.” 😢
