It started like a normal night… but quickly turned into fear 😅

General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, E.A. Adeboye, has opened up about a moment he genuinely thought he had been left behind during the rapture.

Speaking during a recent Holy Ghost Service, the cleric recounted how he woke up in the middle of the night during a trip abroad — only to realise his wife, Folu Adeboye, was nowhere to be found.

At first, he assumed she stepped out briefly…

But after checking everywhere and still not finding her, panic set in.

“I sat on the bed trembling… inside AC, I was sweating,” he said.

The door was locked from inside. No sign of her anywhere.

That’s when the thought hit him 😳

“God, you mean she’s gone and I’m left behind?”

Just as fear took over, he suddenly remembered something — she didn’t even travel with him on that trip 😅

The moment left the congregation laughing, but he used it to pass a serious message.

According to him, that experience is why he never sleeps with unresolved issues between him and his wife.

“I don’t want God to take her and leave me,” he said.

He also revealed that his nightly prayer always includes asking God not to leave him and his family behind if Christ returns.

A funny moment… but a deep lesson on marriage, peace, and staying ready 👀
