A Nigerian woman has sparked laughter and reactions online after sharing a hilarious childhood experience involving strict parenting, school truancy, and an unexpected church deliverance session.
According to her, the drama started after her father allegedly spotted her hanging out with friends during school hours on a weekday.
Realising she had been seen, she quickly rushed back to school before later returning home with her sisters in an attempt to avoid suspicion.
Sharing the story, she said:
“My father caught me somewhere with my friends on a school day during school hours. He looked at me and just passed. At that moment, I knew I was finished.”
The woman explained that despite repeatedly denying the accusation at home, her father remained convinced that he had seen her outside during school hours.
Her sisters, who had no idea she had sneaked out earlier, defended her because they all arrived home together after school, making it seem impossible for her father’s claims to be true.
According to her, the situation escalated so much that her parents eventually believed she needed spiritual deliverance. She claimed they accused her of having a “lying spirit” and even a “seductive spirit” because she developed physically at a young age.
Recalling the experience humorously, she added:
“I remember they cooked jollof rice that day. Around 4 p.m., I told myself to just agree that I was a witch so they would let me go home and eat.”
