Relationship commentator Solomon Buchi has set social media on fire after sharing his strong opinion about married men and Snapchat.
In a post on Sunday, he made his position clear. “I can never understand why a married man is on Snapchat. What are you doing there? Whenever I see a married man who uses Snapchat regularly, I believe you’re cheating.”
He argued that the platform has become a hub for secret communication and explicit content. “One of the top activities that happens on that app is sending and receiving of nudes. How can you be active on Snapchat as a married person?”
The internet is now divided.
Some people agree. One person wrote: “He is right. Snapchat is built for hiding things. Married men have no business there.” Another said: “If you have nothing to hide, why use an app that deletes messages?”
Others strongly disagree. A different voice said: “So every married man on Snapchat is cheating? That is a dangerous generalization.” Another person added: “I use Snapchat to talk to my family. Does that make me unfaithful?”
The debate is not new. Similar conversations about Snapchat and relationship trust have been ongoing since 2023, when many Nigerians linked the app to secret affairs.
Experts often say social media apps themselves are not the problem. It is how people choose to use them. But Solomon Buchi is standing firmly on his opinion.
Now the question is burning. Is Snapchat really a cheating app, or is it just about individual behavior?
