A man has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter) after sharing how his planned first date ended abruptly just minutes before it was supposed to happen.

The man, identified as sir-lux, said the date was scheduled for 6 pm after a week of chatting with the lady online.

According to him, everything seemed fine until about 30 minutes before the meeting, when the lady informed him that her outfit had a faulty zip.

He advised her to simply change her clothes and continue with the plan, but the conversation ended there.

However, things took another turn shortly after.

About 10 minutes later, she reportedly texted him again — this time asking for money to buy a new outfit from a boutique so she could still show up for the date.

The man said he did not respond to the request, and the date was effectively cancelled.

In a follow-up post, he explained that they met through a friend’s WhatsApp status and had been talking for about a week before planning the outing.

While he admitted she is attractive, he said the incident completely changed his impression and made him lose interest.

The post has since sparked conversations online about modern dating expectations, financial pressure on men, and boundaries in early relationships.
