Nigerian streamer Jarvis has openly expressed her desire to collaborate with Afrobeats star Ayra Starr, while subtly throwing shade at fellow streamer Carter Efe.
In a video message, Jarvis reached out directly to the singer, explaining that a recent collaboration between Ayra Starr and another streamer inspired her to make the request.
She also addressed common stereotypes about Nigerian streamers, pointing out that they are often misunderstood. Referencing Carter Efe, she suggested that his high-energy and sometimes chaotic style may have contributed to the perception that streamers lack structure.
Jarvis, however, was quick to distinguish herself, emphasizing that her own livestreams are calm, organized, and respectful. She reassured Ayra Starr that her platform maintains a controlled environment and that she fully understands the importance of protecting the singer’s image.
“Ayra Starr, I’d really love to stream with you. I saw your recent collaboration with a streamer, and it inspired me to reach out,” she said.
“I know Carter Efe might have made it seem like Nigerian streamers are all wild or chaotic, but that’s not the case—especially with me. I’m very composed, and my livestreams are well-organized. We keep things calm and respectful here.”
She added, “I understand you have a reputation to protect and wouldn’t want anything to cause embarrassment. You don’t have to worry—that’s exactly why I’m confident you’d feel comfortable streaming with me.”
