A lady has sparked widespread reactions on social media after recounting how her neighbour allegedly had her husband arrested for secretly selling a piece of land she inherited from her late father.
The incident, which reportedly occurred within their community, has left many residents shocked, particularly because the couple had never been known to have any public disputes.
Inherited Property Becomes Source of Controversy
According to the narrator, the land was bequeathed to the woman by her late father because she was the only daughter among four children. While her brothers inherited houses and other family assets, she received the parcel of land as her share of the inheritance.
After getting married, the woman reportedly showed the land documents to her husband and even took him to inspect the property.

“Omo, my neighbour just used the police to arrest her own husband.”

To her surprise, she allegedly found workers already laying a foundation on the site.
“She got there and met people already laying a foundation. After asking questions, she discovered her husband had sold the land to one of his friends—someone she even knew personally,” the narrator claimed.
According to the account, the woman chose not to confront her husband immediately.
“She didn’t argue. She didn’t shout. She didn’t ask for an explanation. She went straight to the police station,” she added.
