“No be ‘see finish’ be that?” — Isaac Fayose reacts to President Tinubu’s election victory comments

Isaac Fayose, brother to former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over recent remarks attributed to his political camp about his electoral victories.

In a viral video, Fayose reacted to comments where President Tinubu referenced the challenges he faced during the ruling party’s primaries and the general election that brought him to office, noting that both processes were tough but ultimately successful.

Fayose, however, questioned the tone of confidence in the remarks, suggesting it reflected what he described as a “see finish” mentality in Nigerian politics.

He said:

“Can you see and hear ‘see finish’ from Mr. President? He said during the primaries it was tough, but he won. And during the election that brought him in, it was tough that he won.”

He further argued that such confidence signals a belief that key democratic institutions are firmly under control, adding that Nigerians must remain vigilant.

According to him:

“They know INEC is their own… they know the judiciary is no more hope. They are so sure of themselves.”

Despite his criticism, Fayose urged Nigerians not to lose hope, insisting that citizens still have the power to demand change and reshape the country’s direction.
