A single mother is reportedly living with deep regret after a series of decisions led to the collapse of a comfortable lifestyle, the loss of financial support, and growing economic hardship.
According to an account shared online, the woman, who was in her late 30s, had been in a relationship with a divorced man in his 60s. The man played a significant role in her life and that of her child, providing both financial and emotional support.
He reportedly rented and furnished an apartment for them, paid the child’s school fees, and became actively involved in parenting responsibilities, including school runs and other day-to-day needs. Over time, he developed a close bond with the child and helped provide a stable environment for the family.
Desire for Marriage Alters the Relationship
Despite the stability and support she enjoyed, the woman reportedly desired something more permanent. She wanted marriage and a long-term commitment.
However, the older man had made his position clear from the beginning. Having already been married and divorced, he was not interested in remarrying or having more children. He preferred to maintain the relationship without any formal commitments.
Things took a different turn when the woman met another man who lived abroad and promised her marriage and a future together. Encouraged by the prospect of a committed relationship, she decided to pursue the new romance despite warnings from the older man.
New Relationship Brings Unexpected Challenges
The overseas-based man later visited Nigeria, and the relationship resulted in a pregnancy. The woman carried the pregnancy to term and welcomed a baby.
Sadly, the child developed health complications and passed away just a few months after birth.
According to the account, the relationship soon deteriorated. The man who had promised marriage allegedly stopped communicating, became unreachable, and eventually blocked her completely.
Meanwhile, the older man had moved on with his life. He ended all contact with the woman and the child he had supported for more than two years, bringing an end to the assistance she had once relied upon.
