A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing her unusual encounter with an Uber driver over her music preference.

Argument over music choice

The incident, captured in a now-viral video on X (formerly Twitter), showed the moment things escalated between the passenger and the driver.

According to the lady, the situation began when the driver was playing Ojuelegba by Wizkid. While she admitted she enjoys the song, she mentioned that she is a fan of Davido, popularly known among fans as “30BG.”

“I’m 30BG, but I love Wizkid. I love his song. He wants to drop me because I’m not a fan,” she said.

Driver threatens to end the trip

The situation reportedly took a dramatic turn when the driver insisted on dropping her off before reaching her destination.

Visibly shocked, the lady protested in the video:

“This is not a joke. You are dropping me in the middle of nowhere. This is no longer funny. Please take me to my destination.”

After some back-and-forth, the driver eventually agreed to continue the trip and take her to her intended location.

Social media reactions

The incident has since triggered mixed reactions online, with many users criticizing the driver’s actions as unprofessional.

One user, Flourish, wrote, “That’s not a serious businessman. No sensible person mixes personal preference with business.”

Another, Oma Ann, added, “Imagine a driver wanting to drop you because of music taste. That’s why he’s not making money.”

Others reacted more humorously, with one user commenting, “Wetin reach this one? 😂😂😂,” while another said, “I don’t want to believe people take things this far.”

The video continues to trend, sparking conversations about professionalism, personal preferences, and how far fan loyalty should go.
