Activist Deji Adeyanju has made a strong claim against former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, during a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast.
According to him, Peter Obi allegedly kept Anambra State funds in a bank where he had personal interests.
“Instead of using state money to work for his people, he kept his state’s money in a bank that he had interests in… even my seven-year-old son knows it’s for his interest,” he said
The statement has quickly gained attention online, especially given Peter Obi’s reputation for leaving office with reported savings of over ₦75 billion.
Now, this claim is adding a new angle to the conversation
As expected, the comment has triggered mixed reactions.
Some people are questioning the claim and asking for proof, while others say it raises important concerns about how public funds are managed.
