Drama unfolded at the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja after a distressed man showed up, demanding recognition for his role during the 2023 elections.
Eyewitnesses said the man arrived agitated, shouting and insisting that he sacrificed everything for the party’s success.
“Reward me or kill me, I’m not a lunatic,” he reportedly said.
According to him, his support for the party cost him heavily — from finances to personal stability.
He claimed he spent over ₦30 million during the elections and even sold his house, leaving him stranded.
“I sold my house… my wife died, I’m homeless now and APC has failed to reward me,” he alleged.
Security operatives later stepped in to calm the situation and prevent things from getting out of hand.
The incident has since sparked conversations online, with many Nigerians debating how political parties treat loyal supporters after elections.
While some sympathised with the man, others questioned whether such sacrifices should be expected in politics at all.
