The controversy surrounding Blessing CEO has taken a dramatic turn as Mrs. Deborah Mbara, a cancer survivor, has publicly spoken out over allegations that her medical report was used without her consent.
This comes shortly after the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) raised concerns and reportedly called for an investigation into the viral cancer claims linked to the social media personality.
According to earlier reports, Blessing CEO had shared a medical document online, claiming it confirmed she was battling stage 4 breast cancer — a revelation that drew sympathy and financial support from members of the public. However, the report was later flagged as suspicious.
Medical sources traced the original document to Xinus Medical Diagnostics, revealing that it actually belonged to Deborah Mbara and was issued in May 2025. The version circulating online was allegedly altered.
Breaking her silence in an emotional Instagram video, Mbara — who works as a makeup artist — explained how she unknowingly became part of the controversy.
She revealed that Blessing CEO had previously contacted her under the guise of seeking help and comparison.
“She asked me to send my medical report so she could compare it with hers. I agreed because I thought I was helping someone battling cancer,” she said.
Mbara expressed shock after discovering that her report had allegedly been used online to support claims she now describes as false.
“Only for me to see it online that it was my result she used. I was helping someone, not knowing there was another agenda. This is evil,” she added.
She further disclosed that Blessing CEO later visited her family in Asaba to plead, but her husband insisted on a public apology and full disclosure of what happened.
The unfolding drama has sparked outrage and intense debate online, with many Nigerians calling for accountability, while others await further clarification from all parties involved.
