Music executive Don Jazzy has shared his thoughts on why many young Nigerians struggle to stay financially stable, even after earning good money.
According to him, the major issue is not lack of income — but poor spending habits.
He explained that many young people spend heavily on unnecessary lifestyle choices instead of focusing on long-term financial growth and investment.
Don Jazzy noted that even though he can afford luxury items like expensive cars or private jets, he deliberately chooses to prioritize more meaningful investments and responsibilities.
He also stressed the importance of taking care of family and building personal value through continuous learning.
“The reason Nigerian youths go broke after making a lot of money is because they spend on irrelevant things,” he said.
The music boss added that real wealth is not just about money, but about what you do with it — including investing in yourself, acquiring new skills, and learning income-generating knowledge like financial markets.
He encouraged young Nigerians to shift focus from short-term enjoyment to long-term financial stability.
