According to her post, she intended to send ₦19,500 to the vendor for an item she wanted to purchase. However, she accidentally transferred ₦195,000 instead.

Realising the error shortly after completing the transaction, she immediately contacted the vendor to explain the situation and request a refund of the excess amount.

To her shock, the vendor allegedly blocked her instead of responding to her message or attempting to resolve the issue.

The incident left the woman feeling disappointed and betrayed, especially because she said she had trusted the vendor.

A screenshot of the transaction receipt attached to the post showed details of the payment. Before making the transfer, her account balance was ₦9,397,518.00. After sending the money, the balance dropped to ₦9,202,498.00.

The receipt also indicated that the transaction took place on Friday, January 26, 2025, at 6:42 p.m.

Sharing her frustration online, she wrote:

“My biggest mistake was sending ₦195,000 instead of ₦19,500 to a clothing vendor I met on Instagram. It was an honest error, and I reached out to her immediately to explain the situation and ask for a refund of the excess amount.

Unfortunately, instead of responding or trying to resolve the issue, she blocked me right after I told her about the mistake. It’s really disappointing because I trusted her, and now I’m left dealing with the consequences of that error.”

Her post has since attracted reactions from social media users, with many advising people to double-check payment details before completing transfers and urging online vendors to handle such situations responsibly.
