“They Asked About Me” — VeryDarkMan Alleges DSS Questioned Activist About His Whereabouts
Social media activist and commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM) has alleged that activist Livinus Nwosu was questioned about him during a reported period of detention by the Department of State Services (DSS).
In a video shared online, VDM claimed that shortly after Nwosu’s release, the activist contacted him and disclosed details of the questions he was allegedly asked by security operatives.
VDM recounts activist’s claims
According to VDM, Nwosu informed him that DSS operatives allegedly sought information about his whereabouts and wanted to know when he planned to return to Nigeria.
VDM further claimed that Nwosu was reportedly asked to write down the names of both himself and popular media personality Tunde Ednut in connection with voter registration awareness and civic sensitisation campaigns.
The activist stated that the information was contained in messages he received from Nwosu following his release.
Allegations yet to be independently verified
At the time of reporting, the Department of State Services has not publicly responded to the claims, and the allegations have not been independently verified.
Neither the DSS nor other relevant authorities have issued an official statement regarding the reported interrogation or the issues raised by VDM.
VDM speaks on return to Nigeria
While discussing the development, VDM also shared details of his planned return to Nigeria, including information about his intended flight to Abuja.
He maintained that he was not afraid of being questioned by security agencies and said he was willing to cooperate if required.
In his words:
“Livinus Nwosu has been released, but there’s a problem. He sent me some messages after his release from DSS custody. According to the message, DSS picked him up because of me and they are trying to find out when I will be back in Nigeria. They also asked Livinus to write my name and Tunde Ednut’s name on a paper as sponsors preaching to the masses on voters’ card registration and sensitisation.”
