A wave of grief has swept across social media following the tragic death of a 26-year-old Ghanaian lawyer, Arba Tettery, who reportedly passed away after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest while celebrating Ghana’s victory over Panama at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
According to reports, the heartbreaking incident occurred shortly after Ghana secured a hard-fought 1-0 win against Panama. Arba was said to have been watching the match alongside friends at Standard Hostel in Bomso, a community located near the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) campus in Kumasi.
Witnesses revealed that the young lawyer suddenly collapsed during the post-match celebrations, causing panic among those present.
Friends and bystanders immediately rushed her to the KNUST Hospital, where medical personnel reportedly battled to save her life. Doctors and emergency responders administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for approximately 45 minutes in an effort to revive her.
Sadly, despite their efforts, Arba Tettery was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
The news of her sudden passing has left many shocked and saddened, with tributes pouring in from friends, colleagues, and social media users who have expressed their condolences to her family during this difficult time.
Her untimely death serves as a painful reminder of how unpredictable life can be, even during moments of joy and celebration.
