Katsina Government Confirms Death of Retired Major General Rabe Abubakar in Bandits’ Custody

The Katsina State Government has announced the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted by bandits, describing the incident as a tragic loss for both the state and the nation.

The announcement was made in an official statement issued by Dr. Nasiru Mu’azu, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Katsina State.

According to the statement, the retired senior military officer died while in captivity as a result of complications related to diabetes and hypertension.

“The deceased retired general died a natural death from complications of diabetes and hypertension,” the statement read.
