A woman has sparked reactions on social media after opening up about the end of her marriage, alleging that her ex-husband eventually went on to marry her best friend.
In a viral video, she pushed back against claim that she simply walked away from her marriage without reason, insisting that there was more to the story than what people assumed online.
“It does not even make sense for someone to just say she packed and left just like that,” she said, urging the public not to rush to judgment.
According to her, the decision to leave her marriage came after what she described as a painful experience filled with mistreatment and disappointment.
She expressed shock and hurt over how events unfolded, claiming that after everything that happened, her husband later married her close friend.
“After all that, after the mistreating, pain and everything, the husband ended up marrying your own best friend. What does that mean?” she asked.
She said the situation left her feeling deeply betrayed by two people she once trusted.
“Me and my husband are no more, and the two people you trusted ended up betraying you. They really disappointed me,” she added.
The woman also explained why she had mostly stayed silent about the issue, saying her upbringing discourages publicly exposing private family matters.
“I’m not that kind of person that will just come and say my own side of the story. In our culture, they don’t train us like that. We can’t just come and be exposing someone,” she said.
She further addressed online rumours suggesting she was suffering from an infection, stating that she was unaware of such claims and chose not to engage with them.
Reflecting on the end of her marriage, she maintained that both parties had their own reasons for moving on, adding that her ex-husband’s decision to marry her friend was ultimately his choice.
“There’s a different reason for me to leave and for his own different reason to marry my friend. So it’s not a big deal. That’s what he decided to do,” she said.
Despite the emotional experience, she noted that she has chosen to prioritize her peace and move forward with her life.
“I choose my peace and happiness over everything, and thank God I’m living my own better life,” she said.
She concluded by expressing hope for the future, saying she still believes in love and prays for a better marriage if she chooses to remarry.
“I pray that next time, if I marry again, I will marry right by the grace of Almighty Allah.”
