A Nigerian pastor just said what many people are afraid to hear. And the internet is nodding in agreement. 🗣️
Pastor Dolapo Lawal has advised Nigerians to stop blowing millions on wedding ceremonies when they don’t have basic assets or financial stability. According to him, spending between ₦10 million and ₦20 million on a wedding is unwise if you don’t even own a car.
Why a car? Because in Nigeria, a car is not just a luxury. It is a business opportunity. The day you are hungry, you can use it for Uber. That is survival. That is thinking ahead. 💰
“You have no business spending 15 million or 10 million on any wedding,” he said.
The internet is reacting fast. One person wrote: “This pastor is speaking facts. People borrow money to show off for one day, then suffer for years.” Another said: “Wedding is one day. Marriage is a lifetime. Prioritize wisely.” 😤
Someone else added: “A car can feed you. A wedding can only give you pictures.”
A different voice said: “Not everyone wants to do Uber. But the point is valid invest before you celebrate.”
The pastor is not against weddings. He is against foolish spending. Against borrowing to impress guests. Against starting a marriage broke because you wanted a big party.
Hard truth. What do you think is he right or is he killing the dream?
“You shouldn’t be spending N20 Million on a wedding if you don’t have a car, because right now in Nigeria, a car is a business opportunity. The day you’re hungry, you can use it for Uber.” – Pastor Dolapo Lawal
