A Nigerian man has gone viral after making an emotional appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, highlighting the growing cost of living and its impact on families.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the man appeared with his wife as he revealed that he earns just ₦70,000 monthly while struggling to care for six children.
According to him, the situation has become extremely difficult, forcing the family to survive on basic meals like garri while unsure of what the next day will bring.
“My salary is ₦70,000 and we have six children. What can ₦70,000 do?” he said emotionally.
He pleaded for urgent intervention, stressing that his family is finding it hard to survive under the current economic pressure.
The video has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians sympathizing with the family while also pointing to the rising cost of food, rent, and basic needs across the country.
The situation has reignited conversations around minimum wage, inflation, and the sustainability of low-income households in Nigeria.
“Tinubu, this is me and my wife. We have six kids and I earn just N70k; how is that enough to take care of them? Please help fix this country”
