A Nigerian man has stirred reactions on social media after sharing a heartfelt story about a chance encounter with a beautiful woman at a salon that left him feeling guilty and full of regret.
In a video posted on TikTok, the young man recounted how he visited a salon on his birthday to reopen a previously pierced ear. However, what was meant to be a simple errand quickly turned into a memorable experience when he spotted a woman he described as a “dark queen.”
According to him, the attraction was immediate.
“Today is my birthday, so I wanted to open this ear again. As soon as I entered the salon, I saw this dark queen. Omo, this girl is fine. She looked at me, I looked at her too, and that was how the chemistry started,” he said.
The man explained that throughout his time at the salon, both of them repeatedly exchanged glances—sometimes directly and sometimes through the mirror. The silent interaction convinced him there was a mutual connection between them.
Despite feeling encouraged by the apparent chemistry, he admitted that fear got the better of him when it came time to make a move.
Recalling his hesitation, he said he remembered a viral story online about a man who was allegedly embarrassed after asking a woman for her phone number, which made him think twice about approaching her.
“As I wanted to make that move, I just told myself, ‘Chris, calm down o.’ The things we’ve been seeing on the internet these days would make anybody careful,” he added.
Unfortunately, the opportunity slipped away, and the regret followed him home.
The TikTok user revealed that he couldn’t stop thinking about the lady after leaving the salon. In a bid to ease his curiosity, he later called the salon to find out whether she was still there.
He confessed that he still feels guilty for not taking the chance to speak to her when the opportunity presented itself.
Since the video surfaced online, social media users have flooded the comment section with advice and encouragement, with many urging him to return to the salon and take his shot before it’s too late.
