Things are getting real for Tottenham Hotspur as the club battles to avoid relegation with just a few games left in the Premier League season.

Manager Roberto De Zerbi is now banking on the return of James Maddison to spark a late turnaround.

Spurs’ situation has worsened due to a heavy injury crisis. Xavi Simons is out for the season with an ACL injury, while key players like Dominic Solanke and Guglielmo Vicario are also sidelined.

Despite the setbacks, De Zerbi still believes his team can survive.

“We’re playing one of the best teams, but if we win, it’s not a miracle,” he said confidently.

He pointed to attacking options like Randal Kolo Muani, Mathys Tel, and Richarlison as players capable of stepping up in this crucial moment.

But all eyes are on Maddison.

The England international is finally nearing full fitness after a long injury break and could feature in the final stretch.

“He’s a special player… he can change games,” De Zerbi added.

With relegation looming, Spurs fans will be hoping Maddison’s return isn’t too late to save their season.
