President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described his administration as a continuation of the previous government led by late former President Muhammadu Buhari, saying the transition between both administrations should not be seen as a break.

Speaking during a meeting with coordinators of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu said Buhari played the role of a partner in leadership during his political journey.

“The truth is I took over from myself. The late Buhari is me; he was a partner. If I took over from him, is that not from myself?” he said.

The President urged Nigerians to remain patient with ongoing reforms, noting that governance comes with difficult decisions and sacrifices.

“If something is wrong, fine live with it, correct it, move on. It’s not going to be easy,” he added.

Tinubu also reassured his supporters that the challenges being faced would eventually yield positive outcomes, expressing confidence in the direction of his administration.

“So many of you that are travelling with me, I can stand before you, you will not regret it,” he said.
