Founder of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has shared a past experience involving American rapper 50 Cent and a scheduled event in Port Harcourt.
In a viral video, he recalled how the rapper was expected to perform in the city on the same day his church was holding a crusade.
According to him, he made a bold statement at the time while reacting to the clash of events.
“If 50 Cent comes, then God didn’t call me,” he said.
He explained that both the concert and crusade were fixed for the same day, which led him to take that position.
“When 50 Cent was at his peak, he was to come to Port Harcourt for a musical jam. And the same day, we were to hold a crusade. I said, if he comes, I will not come,” he added.
He further narrated that the rapper later had issues while travelling from Lagos to Port Harcourt and eventually returned to the United States, leading to the cancellation of the show.
The story has since sparked mixed reactions online, with users debating faith, coincidence, and interpretation.
