Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has opened up about a deeply painful experience, revealing that she lost her sixth pregnancy in 2025—a revelation that has touched many and sparked an outpouring of sympathy online.
In a heartfelt video circulating on social media, the singer recounted how the incident occurred in February 2025, describing it as one of the most devastating moments of her life.
A painful experience she could not ignore
Judikay shared that she was over three months pregnant when the ordeal began with what seemed like mild cramps.
“In February 2025, I experienced a pain that almost crushed me. I was pregnant for over three months. One day, I started feeling cramps,” she said.
What initially appeared to be normal discomfort quickly escalated. She explained that she began noticing slight bleeding, commonly referred to as spotting, but the situation soon worsened.
“At first, it was just spotting… but then the bleeding became heavy. What I thought was urine was actually blood, and it didn’t stop.”
Realising the loss
According to the singer, the severity of the bleeding made her immediately realise what was happening.
“I was devastated because I understood what it meant. I had lost the baby that had gone past the three-month mark again.”
She disclosed that this marked the sixth time she had experienced such a heartbreaking loss.
Hospital intervention and emotional aftermath
Judikay revealed that she was rushed to the hospital, where doctors carried out a medical procedure following what was diagnosed as a missed miscarriage.
“I was taken to the hospital, and they performed a D&C. That was the sixth time,” she said.
Although she initially believed she had come to terms with the loss after returning home, the emotional weight of the experience soon resurfaced.
Silent nights filled with grief
Despite maintaining strength publicly, she admitted that the pain became overwhelming in private moments, especially at night.
“In the silence of the night, I would feel a pain I couldn’t put into words. I would cry and ask, ‘Jesus, where are you?’”
Her story has deeply resonated with many, shedding light on the often unspoken emotional struggles that accompany pregnancy loss, while also highlighting her strength and faith in the face of repeated heartbreak.
