A former Moniepoint employee has publicly dragged the company’s CEO, Tosin Eniolorunda, after he claimed that Nigerian professionals are not meeting global talent standards. But according to this ex-worker, the real problem is not the talent it is the company’s own messy hiring process. 🗣️💼
The former worker, @MrOlibaba on X, said he resigned after just three months and is not even proud to have Moniepoint on his CV. “I did three months with Moniepoint and resigned… I am not proud enough to have it on my CV,” he wrote. He also criticized the company’s employee welfare, saying the internal environment does not match the public hype. 😬📄
Then he dropped a story that really exposed the mess. He claimed that a friend of his was rejected after completing the third stage of an interview with Moniepoint. But just one week later, the same friend received an email inviting him for the same interview stage he had already been rejected from. Same company. Same stage. Same position. Make it make sense. 🤔🔄
“Is Moniepoint any better than commercial banks that recruit year in year out? None have complained of an inexperienced workforce,” he added, questioning why Moniepoint is struggling to fill hundreds of vacancies while traditional banks recruit without issues. 🏦
So, is the talent gap real, or is Moniepoint’s hiring process the real thing chasing people away? Nigerians are divided, but one thing is clear — this ex-worker came with receipts. 🧾👀
