Veteran gospel singer and evangelist Bola Are has called on Christians in Nigeria and abroad to participate in a special three-day prayer session for the country amid rising insecurity and economic hardship.
The appeal was made in a video shared on her Instagram page, where she said she received a divine instruction concerning the current situation in Nigeria.
Speaking in the video, Evangelist Dr. Bola Are urged believers to dedicate June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to prayers for peace, healing, and God’s intervention in the nation.
“My name is Evangelist Dr Bola Are. God sent me to all Christians that are in Nigeria, both home and abroad, to pray on the 1st, on the 2nd, and on the 3rd of June, quickly, that God should take control of Nigeria. And those people that does it will prosper. And that’s what 2 Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14 says,” she stated.
According to her, the prayer sessions are intended to seek national healing through repentance, unity, and faith in God’s promise to restore the land.
She further explained that the instruction extends beyond individuals and includes church leaders, ministries, and Christian denominations across the country.
“God sent a farmer to me all the way from Iseyin… that God wants all Christians, all planters of churches, all pastors, all evangelists, all prophetesses, all prophets, all archbishops, all bishops… That we should gather together on the 1st, on the 2nd, and on the 3rd of June,” she added.
The gospel minister also gave guidelines for the prayer sessions, stating that they should hold daily between 3pm and 6pm, while advising against night vigils during the three-day period.
Emphasizing unity among Christians, Bola Are stressed that the call to prayer is not tied to any denomination but is meant for the entire body of Christ in Nigeria.
“This is not a matter of denomination. Christian Association of Nigeria, the leader, the president, I’m telling you, God said we should pray for three good days. PFN and all denominations in Nigeria, in Christendom, should pray to God of creation,” she said.
She also encouraged organizations such as the Christian Association of Nigeria and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, alongside other church groups, to fully participate in the prayer initiative.
