Veteran Nollywood actress Eucharia Anunobi has sparked reactions online after sharing her views on financial roles in relationships.
The actress made the remarks during a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, where she discussed how money and responsibility can affect dynamics between men and women in relationships.
According to Anunobi, many men tend to feel inadequate when they are financially dependent on a woman. She explained that, by nature, most men want to be providers and take responsibility within their relationships.
“There’s no man that feels complete when a woman is feeding him. Forget it, don’t let anybody deceive you. A man wants to be able to give instructions to his wife. It’s a male thing,” she said.
Anunobi added that having his own source of income helps a man feel confident and fulfilled. In her view, relying entirely on a woman’s earnings can make a man feel less secure about his role in the relationship.
Speaking from a woman’s perspective, the actress also noted that many women enjoy being cared for by their partners.
“I’m a woman, I want to be taken care of. It’s the joy of a woman. Every woman, even if she is a billionaire…” she added.
Her comments have since sparked conversations online about financial responsibility and traditional gender roles in modern relationships.
