A man has sparked heated reactions online after revealing how a simple restaurant outing led to the end of his relationship.
Sharing his experience on social media, he explained that he was invited last-minute to join his girlfriend and her friends for a hangout. However, things took an unexpected turn when the bill arrived.
According to him, the group ordered expensive meals and drinks, prompting him to quietly ask the waiter to split the bill to avoid any confusion.
When payment time came, he covered only his own meal and his girlfriend’s — a move that instantly changed the atmosphere.
“The table just went silent,” he recalled, noting that everyone eventually paid for their own orders after an awkward pause.
But the real drama started afterward.
On their way home, he said his girlfriend was visibly upset, later accusing him of embarrassing her in front of her friends.
The situation escalated into a full argument, with the girlfriend reportedly giving him an ultimatum — either refund her friends or forget the relationship.
He refused.

Interestingly, weeks later, she reportedly reached out to apologize… but still asked him to send the money.
His response? A firm no.
“I’m not paying and there’s no chance of getting back together,” he stated.
