A widow is begging for help. Her husband was killed during a recent school attack in Oyo State.
Mrs Mary Oyedokun’s husband, Mr Michael Oyedokun, was a teacher. He lost his life during coordinated attacks on schools in Oriire Local Government Area.
Dozens of pupils and teachers were abducted during the attacks. A video allegedly showing the killing of Mr Oyedokun surfaced online and spread quickly, sparking widespread condemnation.
Now his widow is pleading with the government and security agencies.
“Please, I am begging the government and security agencies to help me recover my husband’s remains. I want to bury him properly, so he can have a burial site for future reference.”
The internet is reacting. One person wrote: “This is heartbreaking. She just wants to bury her husband with dignity.”
Another said: “The government must act. These attacks cannot continue.”
Someone else added: “Imagine not even having his body to bury. This is too painful.”
A different voice said: “May God comfort her and all the families affected.”
