Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu has raised fresh concern after visiting the family of Oghenemine Ogidi in Delta State, following reports of a fatal police-related incident in Effurun.

According to him, what he heard from the victim’s mother was deeply painful and difficult to ignore.

He alleged that the woman revealed she has now lost two sons in separate incidents involving the Nigeria Police Force.

“She told us both of her sons were killed by the police… the first in 2022 after arrest, and now Oghenemine,” he said.

The activist noted that the circumstances surrounding both deaths have raised questions among residents, especially claims that one of the cases was described as a gunfire exchange.

The report has since triggered strong reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing anger, sadness, and renewed calls for accountability and police reform.

As the story spreads, conversations around safety, justice, and trust in law enforcement continue to dominate social media discussions.
