A married man has sparked widespread reactions online after revealing that his wife threatened to end their marriage when she discovered he had secretly conducted a DNA test on their newborn daughter.
The story surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) after being shared by user @Ruky_Baby27, who posted the man’s anonymous account of the events that led to the controversial decision.
Doubts Began During Pregnancy
According to the man, his suspicions started during his wife’s pregnancy when he noticed what he described as changes in her behaviour.
He claimed she became emotionally distant and increasingly protective of her phone, raising concerns in his mind about the state of their relationship.
“My wife gave birth to our baby girl three days ago, and instead of enjoying fatherhood peacefully, I secretly did a DNA test behind her back,” he wrote.
He also admitted that conversations with friends fueled his fears.
“My friends kept putting fear in my head with stories of men raising children that were not theirs. I tried ignoring it, but the doubt kept eating me alive.”
Secret DNA Test After Delivery
Despite being present throughout the pregnancy and delivery, the man said the uncertainty never completely disappeared.
“I stayed with her throughout labour. I watched her scream in pain for hours. I held her hand, prayed for her, and almost cried when our daughter was born.”
However, he revealed that the following morning, while his wife was asleep at the hospital, he secretly arranged for a DNA test to be carried out.
Test Results Confirm Paternity
According to him, the results later confirmed that he was the biological father of the child.
“The result came back yesterday. The baby is mine.”
Feeling relieved, he took to social media and shared the outcome publicly.
“I posted, ‘Just did a DNA test right after birth. Baby girl is mine.’ I thought people would laugh and move on.”
Wife Heartbroken Over Lack of Trust
Instead, the post reportedly reached his wife, who was deeply hurt by both the test and the public disclosure.
The man said she broke down in tears after seeing the post and confronted him about his actions.
“She started crying and asked me how I could watch her suffer for nine months, push a child out, and still think she cheated on me.”
He added that his wife felt humiliated, betrayed, and devastated that he had questioned her loyalty and shared the situation publicly.
Marriage Now in Crisis
The man disclosed that the incident has severely damaged their relationship, with his wife now considering ending the marriage once she leaves the hospital.
“She’s now talking about leaving the marriage after she leaves the hospital,” he wrote.
Seeking opinions from social media users, he asked:
“Was I wrong for secretly doing the DNA test, or is my wife overreacting?”
