A lady has shared an emotional story about a Muslim man who protected her Christian family during a violent crisis in Kaduna State. He risked his own safety to keep them alive.
She was still a child when the deadly violence broke out. A respected Hausa Muslim man sheltered her family inside his home. He did not know them personally.
When armed attackers came looking for victims, he denied hiding Christians in his house. He swore by God to convince them. He put his own life on the line.
He broke his religious oath in that moment to save strangers.
“During the Kaduna massacre, a Hausa man, a respected Muslim who didn’t know us, kept me and my family hidden in his house. When the murderers came and asked if there were Christians there, he told them no one was there. He even swore by God, risking his own life just to keep us safe.”
The internet is moved. One person wrote: “This is the Nigeria we want to see. Humanity above religion.”
Another said: “What a brave man. May God reward him.”
