A Nigerian lady has shared an uncomfortable experience she allegedly had after visiting her male friend to console him following the death of his father.
According to her, the young man called her crying over the loss of his dad. She decided to visit him and support him during the difficult moment.
“Seeing him in that state really broke me. Before I knew it, he started coming closer. He held me in a very funny way that I didn’t like.”
She said that while she was comforting him, she suddenly became uncomfortable after noticing his behaviour had changed from grief to something more intimate.
She quickly texted her female friend to call her phone as an excuse to leave. Then she looked down. He had an erection.
He replied: “I thought you were going to stay and pass the night?”
She was shocked. “Me that just wanted to pay you a condolence visit.”
The internet is reacting. One person wrote: “She came to mourn with him, and he turned it into something else. Disgusting.”
Another said: “Men like this are why women don’t trust male friendships.”
Someone else added: “Grief does not excuse inappropriate behavior. He knew what he was doing.”
A different voice said: “She handled it well. She left immediately.”
The lady added that experiences like this have made her lose hope in maintaining platonic friendships with men.
