The Nigerian Air Force has carried out a major operation, destroying terrorist hideouts in Southern Tumbuns, Borno State.

According to officials, the strike was executed under Operation HADIN KAI after intelligence reports revealed movement of insurgents within the area.

Air surveillance reportedly tracked the suspects to concealed structures hidden under thick vegetation in Ali Sheriffti — a known terrorist enclave.

Following confirmation, NAF launched a precision airstrike, successfully taking out the targets and dismantling key hideouts.

Authorities say the operation has significantly weakened the terrorists’ movement and operational capacity in the region.

Speaking on the mission, Chief of the Air Staff, Sunday Aneke, reaffirmed the military’s stance:

“No enclave will remain beyond our reach.”

He added that operations will continue with increased intensity to ensure the safety of Nigerians.

The latest strike highlights ongoing efforts by security forces to reclaim territories and disrupt terrorist activities across the North-East.
