Mrs. Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Esele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, has made an emotional appeal to the government following the kidnapping of teachers and students by armed assailants.
In a video circulating on social media, the principal urged President Bola Tinubu and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde to prioritise dialogue and negotiation in handling the situation, rather than resorting to force.
According to her, a recent security operation reportedly worsened conditions for the abducted victims and further put their lives at risk.
She alleged that one of the abductees had even been marked for possible execution following the attempted rescue effort, heightening concerns about their safety.
Mrs. Alamu called on authorities to urgently open communication channels with the abductors, stressing that peaceful negotiation remained the safest path to securing the release of the kidnapped teachers and students.
She appealed for calm and swift action to prevent further harm, as families continue to wait anxiously for updates on the fate of their loved ones.
The incident has continued to generate concern nationwide, with growing calls for improved security measures and more effective strategies to address school kidnappings in affected regions.
