Thomas Tuchel is facing serious backlash. His England squad for the 2026 World Cup has left many people angry and confused.

Some of the biggest names in English football are missing. Trent Alexander-Arnold is out. Cole Palmer is out. Phil Foden is out. All three have been among the best players in the Premier League.

But Jordan Henderson and John Stones made the cut — even with questions over their fitness and playing time. Dan Burn is also in the squad, and many are asking why.

Former Watford striker Troy Deeney is one of the critics. He said England is not taking their strongest team to the World Cup.

Fans are furious. One person wrote: “How do you leave out Palmer and Foden? This is madness.”

Another said: “Tuchel is playing safe. He is scared to take risks.”

Someone else added: “Alexander-Arnold is the most creative defender in England. Leaving him home is a crime.”

The pressure is now on Tuchel. Expectations are still high. England has not won a major trophy since 1966. Many believe this squad is talented enough to end that wait.

But with these omissions, failure could cost Tuchel his job.

What do you think — did Tuchel make a mistake?
